The Chase was on

This morning 0600 run was going to start at a location between Ben, Dev and my house. Promptly at 6:00 I didn't see anyone heading to my location but then across the block I seen Dev heading down the road. I thought "crap" I've got to catch him and I'm a couple of blocks away. So the chase was on. It was obvious Dev wasn't pushing it, but he still had a sizable lead. After a fast 2 mile pace I was able to catch him and then I decided to continue running at the same pace to see how it would feel. Overall I finished with a 5 mile run in 39:35 not too bad for my 3rd run in a couple of weeks.
